Clinical Lead Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Lead Nurse to join our clinical team at Henshaws Specialist College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the clinical education programme, training, and competency assessing of delegated clinical skills to meet the needs of our students.
Main Responsibilities- To be the lead RGN responsible for the organisation and timely delivery of the clinical education programme, training, and competency assessing of delegated clinical skills to meet student needs.
- To compose and deliver training packages to healthcare and education staff in a variety of settings on a range of clinical/healthcare subjects with support from the wider clinical team.
- To work as part of the wider clinical team to provide direct support to students with identified health needs and complete a range of nursing procedures when required.
- To line manage the Nurse Associate and/or the Nursing assistants, providing day-to-day support and organising the workload to ensure an effective service.
- To be an integral part of the clinical team supporting in the developing, implementing, evaluating, and reviewing individualised plans of care, risk assessments, and maintaining the safety of students.

Person Specification- A Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN Number.
- Experience and good understanding of regulations and guidance around supervision and delegation of nursing care tasks consistent with Nursing and Midwifery Council guidelines.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and to respond to changing needs.
- Experience in developing and delivering personalised holistic health and care plans.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of developing and delivering training packages for a variety of health/clinical needs and to both individuals and groups.
- Experience of line managing staff or willingness to be trained in line management and delivery of a comprehensive range of HR services.
