Your responsibilities will include:

* Compiling relevant information for reports and claims to agreed timescales
* Assisting with the implementation of commercial applications and developing lasting relationships with Business Unit and Project Managers
* Conducting thorough risk assessments and monitoring the register and related documentation
* Managing sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliant quotations and documentation
* Increasing knowledge of commercial issues and contract law to manage compensation events and claims
* Suggesting and developing processes for increased accuracy and efficiency
* Liaising with the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor(s) to ensure commercial cover
* Assisting with the recovery of contract costs and enhancing project profit
* Producing monthly project financial and forecast reports
* Developing negotiating skills and attending handover and progress meetings
* Contributing to the effective implementation of our Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Analytical skills and financial awareness
* Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Contract costing and contract law knowledge
* Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Cost Clerk role
* Contract experience, capturing site records for variations and valuations
* Sub Contract Management and Cost / value reconciliation
* Qualification in Quantity Surveying and a Graduate or "graduate calibre"
* Full UK driving license
