Apprentice Commercial Quantity Surveyor

Join our team at Morrisons Energy Services (TN) Ltd as we seek a talented Apprentice Commercial Quantity Surveyor to work on our projects covering Scotland.
About the Role:
- Assist the Commercial Department and project team to maximize profit and reduce risk.
- Compile relevant information for reports and claims to agreed timescales.
- Implement commercial applications and develop lasting relationships with Business Unit and Project Managers.
- Monitor project risk management plans and ensure accurate risk assessments.
- Manage sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliant quotations and documentation.
- Develop knowledge of commercial issues and contract law to manage compensation events and claims.
- Enhance project profit by identifying variations, delays, and claims.
- Produce monthly project financial and forecast reports for analysis.
- Develop sound negotiating skills and attend handover and progress meetings.
- Contribute to the effective implementation of our Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies.
Requirements:
- Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Analytical skills and financial awareness.
- Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Contract costing and contract law knowledge.
- Previous experience in Quantity Surveying or Cost Clerk roles.
- Contract experience, capturing site records for variations and valuations.
- Sub Contract Management and Cost / value reconciliation.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying and Graduate or 'graduate calibre'.
- Full UK driving license and knowledge of the industry.
