This entry-level position in Microchip Component Operations will provide the successful candidate with valuable experience and growth potential. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving supply continuity, quality, and cost as it relates to products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and requests for quotes to suppliers
  • Review PO variances to the plan, past due, and aged unconfirmed orders, providing resolution with the supply base
  • Participate in maximizing the procurement team's changes, part parameters, quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information
  • Recommend cost-saving proposals, including alternative sourcing, with approval of the team
  • Work closely with Engineers and Strategic Sourcing Managers to support all procurement and vendor negotiations on lead-time and cost
  • Process Returns to Vendor (RTV) for procured products and drive continual improvement with Supplier Quality team
  • Manage and maintain item master/organization attributes for assigned products
  • Resolve accounts payable/receivable discrepancies for any/items assigned
  • Resolve delivery/receiving discrepancies for any/all items assigned
  • Remain current on economic, industrial, and other trends that affect market and prices
  • Support ERP integration activities and assist Project Manager with implementations
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to represent Component Ops in the early stages of the development process

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Supply Chain
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Proven planning, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (specifically Excel)
  • Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
