Job Role: Service Desk Engineer / Field Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Desk Engineer / Field Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support to end users, resolving issues and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide phone, chat, and email support to end users for a prestigious client.
  • Handle basic Level 1 queries from end users, diagnosing and resolving a wide range of Windows applications issues.
  • Troubleshoot internet/LAN and WAN connectivity issues at a basic level.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate resolver groups using an IT ticketing system.
  • Remotely install, support, and troubleshoot Windows OS and authorized desktop applications on laptops and desktops.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and related computer hardware.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers.
  • Customize and configure desktop hardware to meet specifications and business standards.
  • Administer email accounts, including creation, management, and distribution lists on Office 365.
  • Manage user accounts, including creation, management, and password resets on Active Directory.
  • Familiarize end users with basic software, hardware, and peripheral device operation, solving basic queries.
  • Document all queries, issues, and problems in the ITSM Tool.
  • Configure iPads/iPhones/Android devices for users to enable email access and on-the-go connectivity.
Technical Skills
  • Networking experience in LAN/WAN environments.
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory.
