About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join our team at LAW Absolute. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing legal advice on commercial, contracts, and procurement law, adhering to the Legal Services Core Competencies Framework.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, contract law, and procurement legislations and practices. You will be an admitted Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX of England and Wales with a current practising certificate. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure will enable you to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

We are looking for a team player who is driven by delivering a high-quality service and has a positive attitude towards building relationships with colleagues and clients. If you are ambitious, self-motivated, and able to work to deadlines, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on commercial, contracts, and procurement law
  • Manage and provide advice on your own caseload of varied complex matters
  • Deputise for Senior Lawyers and support junior legal colleagues
  • Act as a senior and specialist legal advisor and support a significant portfolio of work
  • Undertake complex proceedings on behalf of the council with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Admitted Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX of England and Wales with a current practising certificate
  • Good knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and procurement legislations and practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
