About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join our team at LAW Absolute. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing legal advice on commercial, contracts, and procurement law.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial law, contract law, and procurement legislations and practices. You will be able to work under pressure, be self-motivated, and able to work to deadlines.

About the Position

The Commercial Contracts Solicitor will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal advice on commercial, contracts, and procurement law
  • Managing and providing advice on a caseload of varied complex matters
  • Deputising for senior lawyers and supporting junior legal colleagues
  • Acting as a senior and specialist legal advisor and supporting a significant portfolio of work
  • Undertaking complex proceedings on behalf of the council with minimal supervision
About You

We are looking for a talented and experienced Commercial Contracts Solicitor who is able to demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of commercial law, contract law, and procurement legislations and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop

Previous commercial local authority experience is desirable, but not essential. We are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
