Your primary responsibility will be to assess our Data Lake systems, ensuring the quality and dependability of our Data Lake infrastructure. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and performance of our Data Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Design: Establish testing priorities, create comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, and performance testing; validate data flows, ETL processes, and transformations.
  • Defect Management: Detect, document, and track defects while collaborating with engineers to address issues.
  • Documentation: Keep test documentation updated and generate summary reports.
  • Collaboration: Engage with engineers and analysts; take part in Agile/Scrum meetings.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data testing, tools (SQL, Nutter, DAX Studio), and Data Lake technologies (Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Systems Tester or QA Engineer, with knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, and test automation tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
