Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Communications to lead our Air Sector's internal and external communications efforts. As a key member of the COO team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances the colleague experience, productivity, and reputation of the Air Sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute internal communication and engagement strategies to enhance colleague experience and productivity
- Partner with the COO leadership to develop a strong narrative and drive BAE Systems' reputation as an employer-of-choice
- Drive proactive storytelling across our channels and markets to instill pride in our existing workforce
- Work with communications colleagues across BAE Systems to ensure the wider business understands the role of the COO team
- Act as a conduit into the external communications teams to generate communications that support commercial and reputation objectives
- Proven internal communications background
- Ability to develop and articulate a clear communication strategy aligned with the organization's goals
- Competent at leading tactical projects and delivering through various business and functional teams
- Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a communications team
- Exceptional writing skills to produce clear, concise, and error-free content for different channels
