Job Title: Charge Nurse

We are seeking an exceptional Charge Nurse to join our team at Randolph Hill Nursing Home in Gullane, East Lothian.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional clinical nursing care to all residents, while delivering strong leadership and supporting the Home Manager in the daily running of the Nursing Home.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Appraise staff and counsel as necessary, adhering to company procedure and documentation
  • Assume responsibility for the operational overview of the whole home in the absence of the Home Manager
  • Maintain correctly written records and individual care plans as required by the company and statutory bodies
Requirements
  • Experienced nurse with a background in care of the elderly settings
  • Experience in working with elderly people with dementia, delivering clinical support and leadership
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, especially report writing and care planning
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage diverse situations effectively
