Supply Chain Admin Assistant
Office-based role with a flexible work schedule
Mint Velvet is a brand that emerged from the vision of its founders, Liz Houghton and Lisa Agar-Rea, who sought to fill their wardrobes with stylish, high-quality essentials that were otherwise hard to find. Their frustration with the lack of desirable clothing and exceptional customer service led to the creation of a brand that marries relaxed comfort with sophisticated fashion trends, giving rise to the concept of Relaxed Glamour.
Our commitment to sustainability drives us to be a positive force in the industry, focusing on circular practices and responsible sourcing. As a dynamic and expanding organization, we strive to cultivate an environment that promotes growth and development while balancing the demands of a high-performance culture with necessary support and flexibility.
At Mint Velvet, our leadership is hands-on, fostering a culture that values balance and enthusiasm. Our core values are rooted in three main pillars: people, planet, and community.
As a Supply Chain Admin Assistant, your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of all imported and exported merchandise. - Keep the Buying, Merchandising, and Digital teams informed about all import/export processes and associated costs.
- Communicate any stock delays to relevant teams to minimize disruptions to marketing activities.
- Monitor and report any recurring delays to the Supply Chain team for further investigation.
- Calculate freight pre-costings and relay this information to assist teams in making informed decisions on import/export methods.
- Review customs entries for accuracy, including commodity codes and customs procedure codes, while calculating duty and VAT.
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in Freight Forwarder Operational meetings, reviewing service levels and key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with all import/export processes and customs practices, updating them in line with evolving regulations.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A proactive and professional demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to present information effectively.
- Proficiency with numbers and data analysis.
