Consultant Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health needs, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of mental health services in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with mental health needs, including those with complex and severe conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services in the community, including the Early Intervention Service and the Kilburn Locality Community Mental Health Team.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff members.
- Participate in service planning and development, including the development of business cases and service specifications.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Participate in continuing professional development and maintain expertise in mental health care.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Excellent knowledge and skills in psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
