Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in the North Camden Recovery & Rehabilitation Team, Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients with severe mental illness in Camden.
The North Camden Recovery Team is part of the care pathway for patients in HoNOS care clusters 11, 12, and 13, focusing on patients with psychotic illnesses. Our team applies the recovery model of care, delivering evidence-based treatments to patients living in the Northern part of Camden. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work alongside another consultant, jointly leading the team and providing cross-cover when required.
Key responsibilities include assessing new referrals, reviewing patients, advising on care, contributing to risk assessment and management, and providing Consultant input into team meetings. You will also support and contribute to service development, Quality Improvement, and conducting service evaluation and research.
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with a strong background in General Adult Psychiatry, who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and contributing to the growth and development of our team. Key Requirements- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice
- Section 12(2) and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility)
- Registered with Royal College of Psychiatrists CPD programme and in good standing
- Shared Services training up to date to be an approved trainer/clinical supervisor
- Other relevant post-graduate qualification (incl. those gained outside UK)
- Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent higher qualification in psychiatry
