About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Class C Driver to join our Refuse and Recycling team at Totally Local Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste and recyclables across the Borough of Stockport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of vehicles, including refuse and recycling collection trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues to the maintenance team.
  • Ensure all waste and recyclables are collected and disposed of in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve high recycling rates and minimize waste.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge in waste management and safety procedures.
