Operating from a cutting-edge facility, this organization specializes in producing high-integrity forged components using nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon alloys. Their products serve various sectors, including aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine, and oil and gas.

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join the team, with the opportunity for this position to evolve into a managerial role in Forge or Heat Treatment.

As a Manufacturing Process Specialist, you will work closely with production, quality assurance, environmental, and health and safety teams within the open die forging units. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring daily operations in production units to ensure adherence to route card instructions and customer specifications.
  • Recording and tracking aerospace/nuclear forging production, focusing on metal soak times and temperatures.
  • Conducting daily inspections of forging furnaces and managing the furnace survey schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Material Science or Material Engineering or a related field. You should be a strong team player with a comprehensive understanding of metallurgy and material processing. Experience in mechanical testing and compliance with national, international, and customer standards is essential.

We are looking for someone who is eager to develop into a forge/heat treatment management role. While training on Forklift Truck (FLT) and Overhead Crane operation is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £40,000, based on experience.
