Job Summary:

GHA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Boiler Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing boilers across various contracts in the SouthEast of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance servicing and repair works across various contracts;
  • Provide boiler / combustion servicing and repair works across various contracts;
  • Maintain low-pressure boilers, high-pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers, and hot water heating systems;
  • Replace defective valves, filters, or steam gauges;
  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure safe and correct operation; facilitate periodic boiler cleaning;
  • Contact the relevant manager concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety breaches;
  • Attend callouts during normal working hours and be part of the out-of-hours emergency callout rota;
  • Punctual site attendance, well-presented, wearing relevant company-supplied PPE and clothing;
  • Complete and submit clear, concise, and accurate reports for works carried out and any further work required.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of combustion systems;
  • Knowledge of HVAC plant, i.e., A/C boilers, controls, heating, and cooling systems, ventilation;
  • Knowledge of building services;
  • Understanding of Legionella;
  • Understanding of overall Health & Safety.

Qualifications:

  • CCN1;
  • CEN1 (E);
  • CODNCO1;
  • OFTEC qualification.

Personal Qualities / Skills:

  • Valid driving license;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated.

Offer:

Hours per week are 08:00 to 17:00, negotiable, 40-hour week;

Salary ranging up to £50,000, depending on experience, £24.04 per hour;

Callout rota uplift applies;

25 days holiday (not including bank holidays);

Pension scheme after 3 full months' service (3% employer contribution, 5% employee);

Overtime available but not guaranteed;

Tablet and phone;

Company uniform;

Company works vehicle;

Employee referral scheme of £1,000.
