Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Boiler Engineer to join our team at GHA Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing boilers across various contracts in the South East of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance servicing and repair works across various contracts;
  • Provide boiler / combustion servicing and repair works across various contracts;
  • Maintain low pressure boilers, high pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers, and hot water heating systems;
  • Replace defective valves, filters, or steam gauges;
  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure safe and correct operation; facilitate periodic boiler cleaning;
  • Contact the relevant manager concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety breaches;
  • Attend callouts during normal working hours and be part of the out-of-hours emergency callout roster;
  • Punctual site attendance, well-presented, wearing relevant company-supplied PPE and clothing;
  • Complete and submit clear, concise, and accurate reports for works carried out and any further work required.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of combustion systems;
  • Knowledge of HVAC plant, i.e., A/C boilers, controls, heating, and cooling systems, ventilation;
  • Knowledge of building services;
  • Understanding of Legionella;
  • Understanding of overall Health & Safety.

Qualifications:

  • CCN1;
  • CEN1(E);
  • CODNCO1;
  • OFTEC qualification.

Personal Qualities/Skills:

  • Valid driving license;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated.

Offer:

Hours per week: 08:00 to 17:00, negotiable, 40-hour week;

Salary ranging up to £50,000, depending on experience, 24.04ph;

Callout roster uplift applies;

25 days' holiday (not including bank holidays);

Pension scheme after 3 full months' service (3% employer contribution, 5% employee);

Overtime available but not guaranteed;

Tablet and phone;

Company uniform;

Company works vehicle;

Employee referral scheme of £1000.
