Boiler Engineer Job Opportunity

GHA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Boiler Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position servicing various contracts across London and the South East of England.

Boiler Engineer Job Offer:

· Competitive salary up to £52k depending on experience;
· 40 hour week with negotiable hours;
· Callout rota uplift applies;
· 25 days holiday (not including bank holidays);
· Pension scheme after 3 full months service;
· Overtime available but not guaranteed;
· Company uniform and works vehicle;
· Employee referral scheme of £1,000.

Boiler Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts;
  • Provide boiler / combustion servicing and repair works across various contracts;
  • Maintain low-pressure boilers, high-pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers and hot water heating systems;
  • Replace defective valves, filters, or steam gauges;
  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure safe and correct operation; facilitate periodic boiler cleaning;
  • Contact the relevant manager concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety breaches;
  • Attend callouts during normal working hours and, in addition, be part of the out-of-hours emergency callout rota;
  • Punctual site attendance, well-presented, wearing relevant company supplied PPE and clothing;
  • Complete and submit clear, concise, and accurate reports for works carried out and any further work required.

Boiler Engineer Job Requirements:

Knowledge of combustion systems, HVAC plant, building services, Legionella, and overall Health & Safety. Qualifications include CCN1, CEN1 (E), CODNCO1, and OFTEC qualification. Personal qualities include a valid driving licence, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and self-motivation.
