Management Accountant / Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant / Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at Building Careers UK in Skelmersdale. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining Purchase and Sales Ledgers, preparing month-end journals, and managing Bank Accounts and Cashflow within the group.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
  2. Prepare and review month-end journals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  3. Manage Bank Accounts and Cashflow within the group, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support.
  5. Prepare and present financial reports, including Monthly Management Accounts and Quarterly VAT returns.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified to AAT or completed level 1 ACCA or CIMA, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  2. Proven experience in finance, with a focus on management accounting and financial analysis.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
