Principal CAD Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal CAD Designer to join our team at Solid People. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading a team of CAD designers in designing bespoke structural and architectural metalwork structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of CAD designers in designing complex steel extension work and ornate, one-of-a-kind conceptual metalwork
  • Develop unique designs using Autodesk Advance Steel and create 3D general arrangement (GA) models
  • Control workflow, monitor performance, and deliver CAD drawings for each project
  • Develop, improve, and maintain CAD processes within the department
  • Liaise and coordinate with external designers and engineers to ensure seamless project delivery

Requirements:
  • Mid-Level or Senior Designer with an Industrial Product Design or Engineering degree
