Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Officer

Atkore is a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions. We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Environmental, Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, minimizing risks, and adhering to health and safety regulations. This role will involve developing and implementing policies and procedures, training and communication, monitoring and reporting, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Train and communicate with employees on health and safety procedures and regulations
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance and compliance with regulations
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and develop corrective actions
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure EHS standards are met
  • Develop and implement training programs for employees
  • Conduct regular site tours to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Requirements:
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Recognized EHS industry qualification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a similar environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
