We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join our team at Rochdale Council. As a key member of our social care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide social work services to adults in need, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare and voluntary sector partners, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to service delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and carers to ensure that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of social care policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of our residents.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices in social work.
- Hold a relevant social work qualification, such as a degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in adult social work, preferably in a local authority setting.
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Social Worker.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Have a strong understanding of social care policies and procedures, including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
