We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Worker to join our team at OwnLife Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 16+ in our semi-independent settings.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and security of the young people in our care, promoting a culture of safeguarding and welfare.
- Assist in managing the resources of the Home, providing a positive living experience for the resident young people.
- Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service to our users, working collaboratively with the Management Team.
- Undertake delegated tasks as required, including acting as a Key Worker and compiling reports and updating files.
- Ensure young people have an understanding of their reports and assessments, enabling them to contribute to review meetings and individual programmes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to an impeccable standard of daily record keeping.
- Contribute to relevant plans and programmes, working under the guidance of the Management Team.
- Liaise with young people's families and Social Workers, fostering a partnership approach.
- NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People or currently working towards this qualification.
- At least 2 years' experience working with young people aged 16+, preferably in a semi-independent setting.
- Ability to engage young people, meet their physical and psychological needs, and work in partnership with other professionals.
- Understanding of professional boundaries with young people and ability to work in a team.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
