Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is currently supporting an excellent food manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Commercial Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present monthly management reports with supporting analysis to the management team.
- Oversee the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.
- Analyze production activity and performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure accurate financial projections.
- Manage cash flow and monitor financial performance to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Own the product costing process and support new product development initiatives.
- Monitor costs, variances, supply chain costs, and general and administrative costs to ensure efficiency.
- Support colleagues in capital expenditure requests and investment follow-up.
- Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in managing day-to-day processes and ensuring relevant controls are in place.
- Manufacturing background and comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge the status quo.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships.
- Highly proficient in Excel (XLookUps, VLookUps, Pivot Tables) and data analysis/manipulation.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an advantage).
- A competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualification).
