We are seeking an Inventory Financial Analyst to collaborate closely with our Financial Controller at OrganOx.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in the office three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory accounting and valuation processes, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Evaluate and report on current inventory management practices within the organization, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide assurance regarding inventory levels and valuations across various global warehouse locations.
  • Support financial reconciliation of system inventory with accounting records, enhancing data integrity related to inventory.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with Production, Sales, Logistics, and Merchandising teams to deliver timely and accurate inventory reports and insights backed by solid valuations.
  • Lead initiatives to design and implement effective procedures and internal controls for inventory management and valuation.
  • Investigate and report on aged, obsolete, or defective inventory to ensure proper costing and accounting.
  • Develop a methodology for inventory provisioning policies.
  • Oversee projects aimed at enhancing systems for accurate tracking, recording, and valuation of inventory.
  • Assist in the formulation of procedures and controls governing inventory movement.
  • Conduct physical audits of inventory locations on a quarterly basis and monthly through systems.
  • Provide support for monthly and year-end financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare analyses and documentation for annual statutory audit processes.
  • Engage with auditors as necessary.
  • Lead from a financial perspective, in conjunction with the manufacturing team, the design and implementation of new processes and methodologies for in-house production.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls in alignment with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain the integrity of the accounting system while continuously seeking improvements.

Required Skills:

  • Preferably ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified.
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable, capable of working at all levels within the finance team.
  • Experience with inventory processes and familiarity with the finance function in an inventory-managing organization.
  • Understanding of fundamental inventory accounting principles, including valuation, transfers, landed costs, and stock reconciliations.
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and critically assess existing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending constructive changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with operational teams and address their needs.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and expanding environment where processes may not be fully developed or documented.
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience handling large datasets.
  • Prior experience with SAP Business One is advantageous.
