About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consumer Insights Lead to join our team at Perrigo. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading consumer research execution, with a focus on innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Catalyze all insight and information needs for assigned research projects from stakeholders into a research brief for partnering agencies with concrete objectives/questions against which the project needs to deliver.
  • Brief (and select if outside of programs) partnering agencies for research projects based on best fit for purpose offer.
  • Lead consumer research projects executed by selected research agencies, reviewing questionnaires and research tools, providing the right quality input (concepts,...) together with internal stakeholders, co-create reporting with actionable insights.
  • Translate findings & insights into actionable conclusions and recommendations for the internal stakeholders (marketing, innovation), allowing them to make the correct business decisions for strategic planning or execution (e.g. pipeline development, NPD launch).

Support on Insight Strategy & Planning

  • Identify insight needs and knowledge gaps with key stakeholders to shape the OTC consumer & shopper insight plan (short and longer term) with appropriate research solutions and investment requirements – with a focus/priority on Innovation (from Front End to pre-launch validation).
  • Manage the insight A&P budget allocated for the consumer research projects in plan.
  • Be the voice of the consumer within the larger organization to drive a consumer centric mindset beyond specific consumer studies only (e.g. in NPD ideation workshops, etc.).
  • Monitor consumer trends and consumer self-care market developments to keep the pulse on broader developments in business/society and provide new/fresh insights on the self-care consumer.

Support on Insight Capabilities Development

  • Support in developing / updating consumer insight capabilities (protocols, standards and guidelines, processes, platforms) aligned to business needs and review based on learnings.
  • Screen & explore new developments in the insight industry to stay up to date on best practices and state of the art research solutions and identify potential new ways of building fresh, deep, reliable insights to solidify consumer and shopper understanding.

Requirements

  • Master Degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in (international) consumer/shopper insight roles – in-company and/or research agency senior roles.
  • Experience in various research solutions, methodologies & analytics (functional expertise) with strong affinity for / expertise in innovation research (from Front End to Concept validation with forecasting).
  • Business acumen with knowledge of marketing and affinity for brands (business partner).
  • Passionate about how consumers feel, think and make choices.
  • Entrepreneurial, leadership, persuasive communicator, analytical beyond the numbers.
  • Team player with open and empathic attitude towards different cultures (pan-European role).
  • Strong ability to adapt to a changing environment, open to adopt new ways of working, fast and eager to learn.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and high level of autonomy.
  • Comfortable working in remote team with min. 2 days/week in office (London based).
