Salary: £45,000 - £49,000 Per Annum

Overview : We are seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a leading automated manufacturing facility. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and dedicated team of engineers in a dynamic environment. The position is both challenging and rewarding, providing a platform for personal and professional growth while contributing to the enhancement of machinery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical maintenance on all machinery, including troubleshooting, planned maintenance, and project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all electrical systems within the facility are functioning optimally.
  • Identify and implement solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of machinery operations to facilitate effective fault diagnosis and resolution.
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues and production teams, ensuring accurate logs of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and practices at all times.
  • Engage actively in the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute positively to the 5S workplace organization system.

The role encompasses a variety of electrical components, including sensors, motors, variable speed drives, contactors, relays, inverters, and PLCs. Experience with any of these systems will be highly advantageous.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized electrical engineering apprenticeship or possession of an electrical engineering qualification.
  • Familiarity with Siemens PLCs, specifically S7 TIA Portal.
  • Understanding of electric motors and pneumatics.
  • Experience in a multi-skilled team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 17th or 18th edition electrical qualification.
  • Background in electrical maintenance engineering within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in various electrical systems, including 3-phase, star/delta motors, sensors, inverters, PLC troubleshooting, contactors, relays, and servo drives.
  • A friendly and adaptable approach to work, with a desire to learn and advance.
  • A proactive mindset, ready to engage in hands-on tasks.
