About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our estates team, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of plant and equipment, including electrical distribution systems, generator sets, fire alarms, and lighting within our hospitals, health centers, and other premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including LV distribution systems, generator sets, fire alarms, and lighting
  • Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Work on own initiative, organizing and managing workload to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Participate in on-call rota system to provide out-of-hours support
Requirements
  • Relevant trade apprenticeship and/or nationally recognized electrical qualification
  • Experience in electrical maintenance work, including fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including LV distribution systems and generator sets
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
