Internal Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Internal Business Development Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new business and selling a high-end range of manufactured fixing and support systems to M&E contractors, main contractors, and sub-contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities and prospect sales leads to nurture them to a point where they can be passed to the external sales team.
- Contact lapsed or dormant accounts to redevelop spending relationships and ensure no sales opportunities are missed.
- Monitor ongoing projects to identify potential sales opportunities and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Deal with customer enquiries via telephone and email, and offer technical support to clients, distributors, and sales team members.
- Manage a portfolio of customers spending a minimum of £1,000 per month and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- 3+ years of sales experience within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of selling fixings, fastenings, support systems, tools, or plastic ducting systems.
- Proactive, initiative-driven approach with excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously, with high organizational skills and good time management.
- Computer and Microsoft Office literacy.
