Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Transport Assistant and Storeperson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients within the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients safely and respectfully, adhering to hospital protocols and procedures.
  • Verify the availability of supporting documentation for patients and ensure accurate paperwork is in place.
  • Move equipment to and from various departments, such as Radiology and Theatres, as required.
  • Deliver or collect paperwork and items from departments like Pharmacy and Labs.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to maintain endoscope cleaning and storage, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Restock procedure rooms and report depleted stock to clinical staff.
  • Monitor and manage medical gas stock levels, replacing gases as needed in procedure rooms.
  • Prepare procedure rooms for various lists, setting up equipment and ensuring adequate consumable stock.
  • Close down procedure rooms at the end of lists and replenish stock for the next day.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required.

Working Environment:

This role will involve working in a fast-paced hospital environment, interacting with various staff members and departments. You will be required to work efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of patients and staff.
