Job Description

Service Care Solutions - Social Work is seeking a highly skilled Public Relations and Campaigns Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Communications Plans: Collaborate with senior managers to create and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify opportunities for campaigns that promote our organization and address key social issues. Analyze data to provide insights and support our efforts in identifying areas needing PR and campaign assistance.
  • Work with Stakeholders: Collaborate with chief officers, department leads, and other stakeholders to identify themes needing campaign support and recommend effective communications strategies.
  • Create Campaign Plans: Develop plans to communicate campaigns effectively to the public through traditional, digital, and social media channels.
  • Provide Strategic Advice: Offer strategic guidance to officers and staff on communications needs, acting as a liaison between the media, local communities, and departments. Manage reputational risks by approving media interactions.
  • Develop Campaigns: Create campaigns using our organization's framework for best practices.
  • Coordinate with Team Members: Work with colleagues to integrate work and maximize communication channels.
  • Participate in Planning Meetings: Attend planning meetings and commit to resulting plans and activities.
  • Manage External Suppliers: Oversee external suppliers and agencies as needed. Provide briefings for creative agencies to produce communication materials.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Experience: Proven experience in delivering PR and campaigns for large organizations.
  • Multidisciplinary Skills: Must have skills in media liaison, PR, campaigns, digital and social media, and design.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding and experience with traditional media, multi-channel campaigns, online and offline techniques, and customer behavior.
  • Proficient in Digital Media: Proficient in using digital and social media to boost our organization's online presence and communication.
  • Strong Creative Skills: Strong creative skills and basic design sense for print and online communications, with solid branding knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Media Law: Knowledge of media law or willingness to undergo training.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively represent our organization and communicate strategy.
  • Proficient in Computer Use: Proficient in computer use with knowledge of various software packages.
  • Ability to Simplify Complex Information: Ability to simplify complex information clearly for non-specialist audiences.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, able to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Experience Working with Cross-Disciplinary Teams: Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams, commissioning work, and collaborating to ensure integrated activity.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and lateral thinking for problem-solving.
  • Willingness to Learn: Willingness to learn emerging marketing communication trends.
