Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Deerfoot IT Resources Ltd. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new infrastructure designs to improve performance, availability, and security.
  • Provision hardware and firmware upgrades to infrastructure.
  • Lead and support infrastructure projects as necessary.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
  • Solve technical problems related to the IT infrastructure across all sites, including site visits as necessary.
  • Identify and report overloading, capacity issues, or potential threats to service levels.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts and faults.

Requirements:

  • CompTIA Network+ and Microsoft AZ-800 and AZ-801 certifications or similar.
  • Proven experience in a similar role managing DNS, DHCP, GPO, and SAN environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise ethernet, VLANs, routing, switching, and IP addressing.
  • Technical competence with good all-round knowledge of the following systems:
    • Veeam backup solutions
    • Cisco Meraki
    • Microsoft: Windows Server 2022, hybrid exchange, Entra, Intune, SCCM, and M365
    • HP Alletra storage
    • VoIP phone systems
    • SD-WANs
    • VMware vSphere

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Retail or E-Commerce industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
