Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Reading Intervention

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The St Leonards Academy. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional help with reading.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who require targeted support with reading. You will be based in our recently refurbished library space and work closely with our teaching staff to deliver reading interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver reading interventions to students who require additional support
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement reading programs
  • Support students in building their confidence and skills in reading
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be patient, calm, and enthusiastic with a passion for supporting students with reading difficulties. You will also need to be confident in running stimulating and educational activities with children.
