Project Engineer Job Description

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Southampton. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring all technical specifications are met and projects adhere to client requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects
  • Ensure all technical specifications are met and projects adhere to client requirements and standards
  • Plan, schedule, predict, and manage technical tasks to ensure projects are completed accurately with the appropriate resources
  • Maintain quality from start to finish and ensure all outputs meet required standards and specifications
  • Identify potential risks related to technical aspects of the project and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks
  • Work closely with third-party contractors to ensure their engineering work aligns with project goals and client expectations
  • Maintain accurate records of all technical aspects of the project and ensure compliance with Sodexo's and client's processes and procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and act as a central point of contact for project works
  • Establish effective communication channels between Project Management, the business, and Supply Partner community to enhance overall function effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in managing engineering projects, ideally in a corporate or facilities management environment
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering a broad portfolio of Hard FM and M&E projects
  • Strong technical skills with a proven ability to manage complex engineering projects
  • Delivering projects that meet technical specifications and client expectations
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams to deliver high-quality work
  • Skilled in identifying and managing technical risks associated with engineering projects
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Managing client relationships effectively to ensure continued satisfaction and project success
  • Flexibility in work schedule to align to project schedule, ensuring quality assurance and sign-off
  • Maintaining compliance with all relevant engineering standards and regulations
