We are seeking a Business Coordinator to join JWA Holdings Limited, overseeing an independent educational institution, alternative provision, and associated educational services.
The Business Coordinator will report directly to the Company Director and Proprietor, who is currently working part-time.
Compensation: Competitive salary with additional mileage reimbursement for travel beyond the usual work location.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with standard hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. Enjoy 28 days of holiday, primarily during school breaks, with flexibility to work remotely during these periods.
Main Responsibilities:
- Executive Support: Act as a liaison between the Company Director and staff, managing calendars, scheduling, and organizing appointments as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the company's compliance and quality assurance processes, including management of documentation, policy adherence, recruitment, and preparation for inspections.
- Staff Induction: Collaborate with HR and line managers to develop training and induction plans for new hires, ensuring regular check-ins during their probation period.
- Employee Wellbeing: Provide wellness support through regular check-ins and address any wellbeing concerns, promoting a healthy work environment.
- Student Admissions: Work closely with the Executive Headteacher and management to facilitate student admissions into the educational setting.
- Financial Oversight: Ideally, the candidate will have financial experience to assist in streamlining financial processes in collaboration with the accountant.
This role is primarily administrative but requires regular on-site engagement. The Business Coordinator will conduct audits and visit various educational sites as needed. Access to a personal vehicle is essential due to the nature of the role.
The position is dynamic and encompasses various aspects of business management. A proactive and professional demeanor is critical, as the Business Coordinator will represent the business owner and the organization at all times. A friendly and approachable personality is important for effective collaboration with all staff members, especially during challenging situations.

- Ability to manage quality assurance, auditing, finance, and recruitment tasks as directed by the Director.
- Proficiency in prioritizing and multitasking while maintaining professionalism and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Administration, Business, or HR.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years in a relevant field.
- Experience in compliance and quality assurance management.
- Proficient in calendar management and time management.
- Experience in managing teams and resolving conflicts.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation.
- People management and conflict resolution skills.
Personal Attributes:
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

Note: This role involves working with children who may exhibit challenging behaviors or have special educational needs. Confidence in behavior management is essential. All staff must undergo an enhanced DBS check and adhere to safeguarding policies.
