Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Social Work Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to our staff and stakeholders, focusing on children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on social work practices and policies related to children with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff in working with children with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and outcomes for children with disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans to support children with disabilities and their families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in social work and children's services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social work, with a focus on children with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
