The Role

This position, known internally as a Data & Reporting Officer, is part of the Strategic Asset Management team and is offered as a Fixed Term Contract.

The individual in this role will play a crucial part in overseeing and ensuring the effective execution of the Strategic Asset Management Operating Plan and the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Strategy, which are essential for the successful realization of our objectives.

The primary duties will include monitoring and reporting on the progress of the decarbonization initiatives within Orbit's asset portfolio, identifying potential risks, and recommending necessary mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities will also encompass tracking the overall NZC program plan by developing efficient processes and coordinating activities, resources, equipment, and information.

In this role, you will support the NZC Energy Performance Operations Manager and serve as the central information hub and accountable reporting officer for the Strategic Asset Management Operating Plan and the Net Zero Carbon Strategy.

This position is situated within our Property Directorate, where you will contribute to fulfilling our commitment to over a hundred thousand customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate internal and external project reports, including monthly and interim progress reports for decarbonization initiatives.
  • Monitor the status of the Strategic Asset Management Operating Plan and Net Zero Carbon Strategy deliverables, providing regular updates.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to track project expenditures and ensure accurate completion of grant claim forms.
  • Identify suitable grant funding opportunities and assist in the preparation of bid applications.
  • Provide project office support, including the creation and maintenance of risk registers, benefits tracking, change controls, and meeting facilitation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) environment; qualifications in this area are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in report preparation and data summarization.
  • Able to derive insights from complex data and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Experience managing small projects or significant components of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
