About the Role
The ideal candidate will be a true team player with a positive attitude, driven, well-organized, and innovative. You will be a competent and able leader with a great mind for business, exceptional communication skills, and a desire to make improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Ownership of the month-end process, including preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and control. Develop and maintain forecast models and ownership of the annual budgeting cycle and mid-year reforecasting.
- Financial Reporting: Production of monthly financial performance reports for executive review and for monthly Board reporting.
- Bank and Cash Management: Short-term and long-range cash forecasting and balance optimization.
- Capital Expenditure: Management of CAPEX and other major expenditure.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial support, modelling, and analysis to the team. Financial analysis of Costing, Pricing, and Margin strategy.
- Opportunity Evaluation: Evaluation of opportunities, new channels, and portfolio optimization.
- External Funding: Involvement in potential external funding of projects.
- Cost Control: Provide cost control and financial support to all departments in the business.
- Payment Approval: Approval of payments, purchase orders, and other spend.
- Billing Control: Control of billing (accuracy, timing, etc.).
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a highly developed understanding of financial and management accounting practices and hold strong experience at business partner level and delivering to senior stakeholders. Experience of budgeting, forecasting, and modelling within a complex customer life cycle is essential. Financial Services/Regulated market sector awareness is desirable.
