About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Consultant to join our Marine Renewables & Infrastructure team at ERM Group.

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting our efforts to obtain essential regulatory approvals for offshore wind farms, marine energy installations, and other renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Assessments: Support the team with environmental assessments and preparing permit applications for offshore wind farms and other marine developments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist team communication with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
  • Project Management: Assist the management of projects from inception to completion.
  • Environmental Impact Assessments: Work with colleagues to undertake assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and risks and associated mitigation measures.
  • Technical Data Review: Review and interpret technical data and reports related to marine environment and renewable energy technologies.
  • Documentation Development: Draft and develop technical reports, permit applications, and other project documentation as needed.
About You

You'll be degree qualified in a field such as Environmental Science or Marine Biology. You will possess some knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental legislation, as well as having analytical and problem-solving skills.

We expect that at this career level you'll be in the office for the majority of the week, soaking up the knowledge available around you.
