Interim Director of Fund Finance and Operations

A leading private equity firm, Marks Sattin (UK) Ltd, is seeking an experienced professional to fill a pivotal role within its fund finance department.

This is a 9-month contract with a competitive salary of £110,000 - £125,000 p/a, plus discretionary performance-related bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction/Deal Support:
    • Support new deals from a finance perspective, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with the deal team on financing, refinancing, and exits, providing expert advice on fund and tax structuring strategies.
    • Develop and implement fund and tax structuring strategies to optimize returns and minimize risk.
    • Represent the firm on Fund Boards, providing strategic guidance and oversight.
  • Fund Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee the full fund lifecycle, including liquidations and exits, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
    • Ensure fund structure compliance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Manage relationships with administrators, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
    • Collaborate with fund controllers and performance reporting teams to drive process improvement and enhance reporting capabilities.
    • Drive process improvement in the transaction cycle, identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Extensive experience in complex Lux Private Equity or Debt fund structures, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven track record in supporting investment/M&A activity, with a deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Accounting Qualification, with a strong foundation in finance and accounting principles.
