About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Development Director to join our team at Marshall Motor Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic planning of our organisation to ensure long-term success and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design of our revised strategy and plan, aligning with our framework of strategic priorities, underlying objectives, and supporting initiatives.
  • Prepare business cases and associated papers/presentations for our Executive Committee.
  • Lead the design and delivery of specific strategic initiatives across our estate, managing risks, issues, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and measure KPIs/business case performance.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the Group to deliver initiatives effectively.
  • Conduct strategic research, assessing market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify issues, develop hypotheses, and communicate insights and recommendations to the Executive Committee.
  • Partner with reporting/analytics teams to set up key metrics and reporting to track progress against our strategic plan and associated benefits/value realisation.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 8 years' experience in strategic development, possessing a strong strategic toolkit for organic and inorganic initiative development. Your current skillset should include strategic consulting and working closely with executive leaders in an organisation.
