Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Finance Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Management Accounting function and providing comprehensive financial assistance to the Finance Team.

  • Processing transactions for a new subsidiary, including generating sales invoices and recording purchase invoices and bank transactions.
  • Establishing and maintaining project records within the financial system.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing expense approvals and postings, including credit card transactions.
  • Ensuring accurate updates of employee data in the system.
  • Preparing supplier and expense payment runs.
  • Collaborating with the Management Accountant to ensure timely completion of month-end processes.
  • Addressing ad-hoc queries and providing support to the Finance Director, Management Accountant, and Project Accountant.
  • Monitoring and responding to inquiries directed to the team inbox.

The Finance Operations Coordinator must cultivate effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating professionalism, approachability, and a positive demeanor. This role is hybrid, based in Leeds, and may require occasional travel to other Ardent offices.

Required Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be pursuing AAT or CIMA/ACCA qualifications (study support available) and possess at least one year of experience in a finance-related role. A strong desire to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment is essential.
