We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker to become part of a CONTEMPORARY Semi-Independent residential facility. In this role, you will be assisting young adults aged 16-18 who are experiencing Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and exhibiting challenging behaviours.

We seek FLEXIBLE, DRIVEN, and DEDICATED individuals who are eager to positively impact the lives of young people, helping them to grow socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a nurturing environment.

This position offers a dynamic work atmosphere where no two days are alike, requiring adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving setting. While the work can be demanding, it is also immensely rewarding.

Position: Support Worker

Salary: £31,840 - £34,240 (Including sleep-in shifts)

Contract Type: Permanent

Weekly Hours: 40 hours plus 2 sleep-in shifts

Shift Schedule: 7:30 AM - 10 PM - sleep - 7 AM - 9 AM

**Candidates must possess a Full UK Driving Licence due to the nature of the role**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encouraging young individuals to engage in activities and take ownership of their lives.
  • Maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the home.
  • Effectively managing challenging behaviours as necessary.
  • Safeguarding the health and welfare of young people.
  • Providing support to promote independence and well-being.
  • Ensuring a safe living environment for all residents.
  • Staying informed about each individual's care plan, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred communication methods.
  • Supporting young people through difficult behaviours with compassion and understanding.
  • Building and nurturing positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Background in another healthcare or social care setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Must be a licensed driver as transportation of young people may be required.
  • Applicants must be over the age of 21.
  • Ability to commute to the workplace is necessary.
