About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Healthcare Professional to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police and provide high-quality care to detainees in a dynamic and lively environment.

The role involves collecting forensic samples, conducting referrals, and delivering substance misuse therapies. You will also be responsible for assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody suites, as well as promoting good personal healthcare.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic with 3+ years' post-qualification experience to join our team and develop their skills in forensic healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forensic sampling and collection of evidence
  • Conducting referrals and assessments for detainees
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies and promoting good personal healthcare
  • Assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody suites
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs

This role is based in Thames Valley and offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic with 3+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to detainees

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, or prison settings would be ideal.
