Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pathway Coordinator to join our administration team within the Cancer Directorate at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties
  • Coordinate and manage clinic schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery of administrative tasks.
  • Liaise closely with Consultants, Nurses, and MDT coordinators to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Supervise and train assistant specialty coordinators, promoting team values and achieving required outcomes.
  • Contribute to the assessment of staff performance and provide performance development reviews.
  • Ensure data quality within a defined area, investigating issues and providing training as required.
  • Deal with complex inquiries from staff, patients, relatives, and visitors, providing information, guidance, and advice.
  • Use Voice Recognition Software to ensure timely documentation of clinic attendance and letters for the specialty.
  • Liaise with the outpatients department to maintain smooth running of outpatient clinics and keep the department informed of any changes.
  • Undertake general administrative duties, including filing, typing, photocopying, scanning, and arrangement of meetings.
Person Specification
  • Good general level of education (5 GCSEs/BTEC grade C or above or equivalent) including Maths & English.
  • Knowledge of a range of Trust policies and management procedures.
  • Relevant administrative experience with up to date experience of MS Office.
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.
