Job Title: Curriculum Manager for Maths and English

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curriculum Manager to join our team at People Plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a high-quality curriculum for Maths and English in our prison education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a comprehensive Maths and English curriculum tailored to the prison education environment.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Lead, support, and mentor a team of Maths and English tutors, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate Maths and English program delivery, using data, deep dives, learning walks, and observations of teaching and learning, and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development and procurement of teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are utilised effectively and efficiently and are appropriate for use within the prison context.

Requirements:

  • A relevant first degree and/or professional qualification and a teaching qualification.
  • A commitment to the Reduction of Re-Offending through Education and Skills.
  • The ability to identify and implement continuous improvements to the curriculum in line with the needs and demands of learners and employers.
  • Successful experience of managing curriculum development and change, quality, systems, processes, and the performance of teaching staff in ways which have improved learner outcomes.
