About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Area 9 team at Colas Ltd. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will provide support with the administration of our Highways Maintenance & Response Contract, ensuring accurate and timely reports, and contributing to the reconciliation of costs and values.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collate data for monthly reports and commercial activities required for the contract
  • Provide accurate and timely reports as required
  • Assist with pricing of new works in accordance with contract mechanisms
  • Manage Subcontractor work packages
  • Identify and interpret Key Performance and Result Measures
  • Evaluate change through analysis of rates or compensation methods
  • Agree on the effects of change
  • Prepare, present, negotiate, and agree on interim and final accounts
  • Re-measure in accordance with a standard method of measurement
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Experience in Highways or a related field (Finance background considered)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Valid UK driving license
