We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundworks to join our dynamic and progressive company culture.

This role will involve managing commercial aspects and contract administration of projects, including reviewing customer contract terms and conditions, preparing monthly valuation applications and final accounts, and assisting Project Managers with cost management and tracking processes.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with QS experience, knowledge and experience in the utilities/civil sector, preferably in the water industry, and a full driving licence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a family-run surfacing and groundworks contractor based near Oldbury, with a strong focus on growth and development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial aspects and contract administration of projects
  • Preparing monthly valuation applications and final accounts
  • Assisting Project Managers with cost management and tracking processes
  • Assessing additional time and costs for contract variations and understanding contractual implications
  • Conducting project progress reviews and reporting findings to the Commercial Manager
  • Assisting with tendering large projects and implementing commercial reporting systems
  • Participating in post-contract analysis, suggesting process improvements
