About the Role
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a motivated and skilled external partnerships lead to join the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). This position will oversee the Community Rehabilitation Alliance, a collaborative group comprising over 60 professional organizations and voluntary entities engaged in a unified program of initiatives.
The primary objective of this program is to ensure that every individual has the right to access high-quality, person-centered rehabilitation services within their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster connections, understanding, and trust with Alliance members while coordinating the execution of joint activities and communications.
- Enhance the Alliance's reputation as a leading advisor and contributor in healthcare design and policy formulation.
- Monitor the political landscape and external developments to identify emerging issues and evaluate reputational risks, collaborating with senior management to adapt and deliver Alliance communications accordingly.
- Recruit new members to the Alliance and establish new partnerships with relevant organizations and networks.
- Collaborate closely with policy and communications teams and directly with the CSP Co-chair of the Community Rehabilitation Alliance to develop strategic opportunities for Alliance-wide initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance to colleagues on effectively addressing stakeholder needs in alignment with broader Alliance objectives.
- Facilitate and co-create regular and new engagement opportunities to support the Alliance's ambitions for increased influence.
- Support the communication strategy for the Right To Rehab campaign and oversee the delivery of internal communications to Alliance members, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Advise Assistant Directors and workstream leads on how partnership collaboration can best achieve strategic goals.
- Represent the CSP in discussions with senior stakeholders within the Community Rehabilitation Alliance and national level NHS bodies.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a well-developed skill set in stakeholder engagement and partnership development. You should possess strong problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying, assessing, and defining stakeholder needs while achieving consensus on collaborative efforts.
Exceptional relationship-building skills are essential, along with a high degree of organization and attention to detail. Accurately gathering feedback from over 60 Alliance members will be a critical aspect of this role.
You should be comfortable engaging with diverse audiences and political influencers, proactively seeking new partnerships. The ability to produce high-quality written content is also necessary.
Effective communication at all levels and to a variety of audiences in a compelling and authentic manner is crucial. You will need to demonstrate the skills required to present with credibility, engage diverse audiences, and foster understanding.
Collaboration across the organization is key, and you will provide support to colleagues and the accountable Assistant Director to enhance their participation in the Alliance.
Finally, you should possess the courage to take calculated risks, follow through on commitments, and be open to learning in an environment that encourages growth.
