Senior Manager, Strategy & M&A

Pear Talent - Finance Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Strategy & M&A to join the UK arm of a listed international insurer. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Executive Committee and Board, shaping long-term strategy and driving corporate development/M&A activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze growth opportunities that meet strategic and financial objectives, conduct due diligence, and lead negotiations to facilitate strategic acquisitions or partnerships.
  • Maintain relationships with external consultants and investment bankers to provide awareness of competitor and industry developments and assess long-term trends, providing insight to Group Office and business division teams.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice on M&A, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and previous experience gained in Financial Services in a similar strategy role (consulting or in-house) with a track record of successful strategy development and execution. Experience in M&A, including valuation, due diligence, and negotiation, is essential. A sound understanding of strategic drivers affecting financial services and first-class project management and communication skills are also required.
